Money and things...

Asaalamu Aleikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

My jewelry came, my perfume came, my dresses came, my pay day came, my take away came, my day out came, and my two shopping trips came , seeing my friends for a night out came and conversation and family time came.
All the things that we enjoy doing in our lives, our holidays, our jewelry, our homes , our activities, our beach club memberships, our spa visits, our lady clubs, our gym membership, our dinners and dates and trips and cars have been made available to us through work and money, and thats why my family always told us to "work hard" and "study hard" in order to achieve our "dreams" through financial stability.
But how many of us are really over estaming the value of money? How many of us forget what its important for whats material?
I'm not one to pretend money has no value in my life, im not a i would live happily in the dumpster type of girl, nor am i counting the pennies and saving the notes hoarding paper thats so "valuable" and starving myself from the pleasures and ease money can bring in to my life, but i hope i never become one of those who values money over friendship , money over love and money over family and humanity.
*Inspired by a conversation with Mr Naz.

In Other news it has been a year since Prince William and Kate Middleton's marriage and ive been watching some documentary and falling in love with their seemingly genuine love, class and behaviour. Isnt she just the picture of Elegance i am totally a fan of this one princess/ Queen consort to be.

Lol

Reality

Asaalamu Aleikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu
(Post written a few days ago)! *(Image from Granpas boat)
Sitting down with music in my ears hot chocolate on the table as well as coke (i have fascinating drinking habits) and a magazine next to me is usually something i consider quiete relaxing but today , relaxing has just been far from my day.  for the last few days my Inlaws came to visit so we have been entertaining them and welcoming them to Dubai, and then my sister in laws (although a year apart have the same birthday), and we organised a surprise birthday party with a Spanish theme for them which was quiete a struggle to organise in the limited time that we had we got these colourful flowers and filled vases and decorated the back house of the villa with all these colourful spanish things and we transformed the dining room of the Villa in to like a wedding hall with straight lines center pieces and lots of exotic (spicy food) and some spanish like "Mock-Tails" instead of Cocktails with umbrellas and Amira had the idea to do the center pieces with bowls and coloured water and floating candles.

All in all we had fun planning it although stressful and we had the tacky baloons and banners and two cakes too, and it was a great success because my sisters in law thoroughly enjoyed their birthday surprise and their gifts too, a original croc skin hermes bag, jimmy choos and some britney spears perfumes. Its always fun to make other people happy but we had a great time. then they raided my closet and did the meanest coolest fashion show ever lol. Now i cant wait for my birthday because although ive had surprise parties and non surprise parties , theyve never done a themed party for me :(.

Then the next day I went on this date thing with my husband but it was cool because it was a surprise for him,we had dinner at Atlantis Hotel at Palm Jumeirah and then we went to this really cool 'persian' place where theres belly dancers and Shisha.

Then today was supposed to be a cool relaxing day , since i had work in the afternoon but my maid woke up sick, my house was a mess and everyone was out, so obviously i had to go and clean it literally the entire villa top to bottom and then heard that my aunt went into labour so i had to go to my aunts house and babysit my other aunts kids and , feed the kids and clean up after them . but thankfully this house was already clean when i got there because their maids are working. Ah back to reality.

I am Woman...

Asaalamu Aleikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

The Status of women the world over does little to impress me , culture after culture women have been constantly stripped of their rights, to be equals , in some instances basic human rights have required strenuous effort and revolutionary action eg: basic right to vote -see suffragettes before becoming a reality. But women are the backbone and the strength of societies they are behind the scenes and they take center stage. They are mothers , sisters, wives and home-makers they are teachers, nurses , proffesors, doctors, pilots, engineers, soldiers, they are freedom fighters, they make up half the world and they are damn impressive.

As a woman ive always been interested in the development of women the world over , but last night i came across something special. As i sat on top of my bed watching Sex and the City2 I came across a beautiful and revolutionary song 'I am Woman' by Helen Reddy and it thoroughly impressed me despite the song being composed a long time ago in a society and culture very different to mine i could immediately relate and i felt it was a tribute to women everywhere. So take a listen and enjoy it as much as i did my sisters everywhere in the world, Peace and blessings with the women of the world,

looking back

Asaalamu Aleikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

The other day i sat here and i read through some of my old posts in the blog, i realised i used to be a lot more open and even write somethings i now consider private , i wonder how that happened. I have a lot going on lately and i dont get as much time as id like to sit down and write about my feelings in something as long as detailed as a blog post.. I see something i want to write about happen but at a time where its impossible for me to write, ill tell you something about what i do usually.

I dont seem to have much time in the day because throughout the day i study and revise and study , and fascinating things like that, i also work at a hospital part time , im looking to work more hours and i teach English.

The rest of the times im at home just hanging out and watching reality tv or something :P, or hanging out with my husband, sisters and family , in the weekends or every friday night i usually go out with my husband for dinner and something weird like diving or water ski or something (jet skis are a lot of fun for anyone who likes water).

when he had a small break from work we managed to fit in a small break to Turkey ankara and antakya because its such a wonderful country, i totally recommend visits to turkey .
so its something like a lot of studying all week and a lot of family on weekends means seriously a lack of computer time for naz :(, i barely get to watch the online shows i like let alone write , but i am obviously not that quiet i do tweet a lot lately, because my bb is always with me so you can follow me @nazmiirah if you like and yeah, just an explanation for why i am MIA.

Yesterday was a lot of fun for me because basically me and a bunch of friends have this thing called once a month, where atleast once every month we all go out and have some fun just girls, so yesterday i was sleeping and it seemed that everyone had the day off from whatever they usualy do and they called me and we went out to do some shopping, then to cinema to watch new years eve, and got some dinner too, nothing extraoridnary or anything but it was so great to have fun with the girls, and one of my friends surprised me with a beautiful perfume gift set and a clutch bag and yes i still havent got over my perfume addiction or my coke one (the drink people).

Also i dont like to blog when im upset and stressed and stuff, and i have been a little because of some problems but things are looking up now and if you could kindly keep me in your prayers itll get better.

blogger is quiet these days anyways init
